Express Entry

Express Entry for CEC The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is a permanent residence category designed to facilitate the transition of temporary foreign workers and foreign graduates with qualifying Canadian work experience into Canadian permanent residents. This program recognizes the value of skilled work experience gained within Canada and offers a pathway to permanent residency for eligible candidates.

 

Eligibility requirements are :

  1. Language Proficiency: Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in the required language levels for their job in each language ability, including Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.
  2. To be eligible for CEC, candidates must possess at least 1 year of skilled work experience in Canada within the last 3 years before submitting their application. This work experience can be accumulated through the following scenarios Full-time at a single job: A minimum of 30 hours per week for a continuous period of 12 months. Part-time work Accumulated hours equivalent to full-time employment. Full-time work across multiple jobs Combined hours totaling a minimum of 30 hours per week for 12 months.
  3. Candidates must have gained their relevant work experience in Canada while holding temporary resident status that explicitly authorized them to work.
  4. The work experience gained should fall within the TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 job categories as defined by the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC).

Processing Fees:

  1. Your application Processing fee ($850 CAD) and right of permanent residence fee ($515 CAD) Total $1,365 CAD.
  2. Your application (without the right of permanent residence fee) Total $850 CAD.
  3. Include your spouse or partner’s Processing fee ($850 CAD) and right of permanent residence fee ($515 CAD) Total $1,365 CAD.
  4. Include your spouse or partner (without right of permanent residence fee) Total $850 CAD.
  5. Include a dependent child Total $230 CAD per child.

Family Sponsorships

As a Canadian citizen, a person registered in Canada as an Indian under the Canadian Indian Act, or a permanent resident of Canada, you have the privilege to sponsor certain relatives to live, study, and work in Canada under the umbrella of permanent residency.

To sponsor relatives for Canadian permanent residency, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. You must be at least 18 years old.
  2. You should be:
    • A Canadian citizen.
    • A person registered in Canada as an Indian under the Canadian Indian Act.
    • A permanent resident of Canada.
  3. If you are a Canadian citizen residing outside of Canada, you must demonstrate your intention to establish your primary residence in Canada when the individuals you wish to sponsor obtain their permanent residency status.
  4. Permanent residents residing outside of Canada are ineligible to sponsor individuals for permanent residency.
  5. You are required to demonstrate your capacity to adequately provide for the fundamental requirements of any individuals you intend to sponsor.

To sponsor your spouse for Canadian permanent residency, the following eligibility criteria must be met:

  1. Your spouse can be of either sex.
  2. Your spouse must be legally married to you.
  3. Your spouse must be a minimum of 18 years old.

Fees to Sponsor a spouse will be $1080 CAD.

To sponsor your common-law partner for Canadian permanent residency, the following eligibility criteria must be satisfied:

  1. Your common-law partner must not be legally married to anyone else, regardless of sex.
  2. Your common-law partner can be of either sex.
  3. Your common-law partner must be at least 18 years old.
  4. You and your common-law partner must have lived together for a continuous period of at least 12 months, indicating a conjugal relationship. This entails living together consistently and continuously for one year, without extended periods of separation.
  5. Any instances of time spent apart should have been brief and temporary in nature.

Fees to Sponsor a partner will be $1080 CAD.

Proof should be provided that living together or marrying in your conjugal partner’s country is unfeasible due to these compelling reasons, such as documentation of denied long-term stays in each other’s respective countries. To sponsor your conjugal partner for Canadian permanent residency.

 

The following eligibility criteria must be met:

  1. Your conjugal partner is neither legally married to you nor in a common-law relationship with you.
  2. Your conjugal partner can be of either sex.
  3. Your conjugal partner must be at least 18 years old.
  4. You and your conjugal partner must have maintained a genuine and committed relationship for a minimum of 1 year.
  5. Your conjugal partner resides outside of Canada.
  6. Your conjugal partner cannot cohabit with you in their country of residence or marry you due to significant legal and immigration obstacles. These barriers may be due to their marital status, sexual orientation, or the threat of persecution.

Children can be considered dependants and qualify for sponsorship if they satisfy the following criteria, based on their age:

 

Children Under 22 Years Old:

  1. The child is under the age of 22.
  2. The child does not have a spouse or common-law partner.

Children 22 Years Old or Older:

  1. The child is 22 years old or older.
  2. The child is unable to independently support themselves due to a mental or physical condition.
  3. The child has relied on their parents for financial support since before reaching the age of 22.

Processing Fees will be $150 CAD.

Fees to Sponsor a spouse will be $1080 CAD.

Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)

Candidates aspiring to participate in the PNP are encouraged to assess their eligibility based on the outlined criteria and explore opportunities for provincial nomination. The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) offers a dedicated route for skilled workers who fulfil the following key criteria:

 

  1. Possess the necessary skills, education, and work experience that can significantly enhance the economy of a specific province or territory.
  2. Express a genuine intention to reside in the chosen province or territory within Canada.
  3. Aspire to achieve permanent resident status in Canada through the provincial nomination process.

Candidates aspiring to participate in the PNP are encouraged to assess their eligibility based on the outlined criteria and explore opportunities for provincial nomination. The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) offers a dedicated route for skilled workers.

 

Who fulfills the following key criteria:

  1. Possess the necessary skills, education, and work experience that can significantly enhance the economy of a specific province or territory.
  2. Express a genuine intention to reside in the chosen province or territory within Canada.
  3. Aspire to achieve permanent resident status in Canada through the provincial nomination process.

The Non-Express Entry Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) offers an alternative route to pursue Canadian permanent residency.

 

The process involves the following key steps:

  1. Application: Applicants initiate the process by submitting an application to a specific province or territory.
  2. To secure nomination, candidates must fulfill the eligibility requirements set by the province or territory they are applying to.
  3. Upon receiving a provincial nomination, applicants proceed to apply for Canadian permanent residence through the online application system. This includes providing necessary documentation and information.
  4. Candidates are required to undergo a medical examination and obtain a police clearance certificate.

The Express Entry process offers a streamlined pathway to Canadian permanent residency for skilled individuals.

 

Here is a concise breakdown of the key stages:

  1. Candidates initiate the process by meeting the specific eligibility criteria of the province or territory to which they intend to apply.
  2. Applicants proceed to submit an Express Entry profile, wherein they must demonstrate that they meet the minimum requirements of Express Entry.
  3. Candidates are required to satisfy the minimum criteria established within the Express Entry system, including eligibility for one of the immigration programs covered.
  4. If selected, candidates receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residency.
  5. Following receipt of an ITA, candidates submit an electronic application to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). This step involves providing detailed documentation and information to support the application.

Atlantic Immigration Pilot

The Atlantic Immigration Program offers a pathway to permanent residence for skilled foreign workers and international graduates from Canadian institutions who desire to work and reside in one of Canada’s four Atlantic provinces: New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, or Newfoundland and Labrador. The program aids employers in hiring qualified candidates for positions that have proven challenging to fill locally.

 

Eligibility for the Atlantic Immigration Program necessitates the following criteria to be fulfilled:

  1. Possession of qualifying work experience, unless the candidate is an international graduate from a recognized post-secondary institution in Atlantic Canada.
  2. Meeting or surpassing the specified educational prerequisites.
  3. Meeting or exceeding the language proficiency requirements.
  4. Demonstrating adequate financial resources to support oneself and one’s family upon arrival in Canada.

The program entails an application fee starting from $1,365 CAD.

Caregiver Programs

Securing Permanent Residence for Caregivers.

 

Should have submitted an application for a new work permit before your current permit’s expiration, you are permitted to continue working under the initial work permit’s conditions while awaiting a decision. This continuation is referred to as “maintained status,” previously known as implied status.

 

It is imperative to uphold a valid temporary resident status throughout your employment in Canada. To achieve this, you are required to take the following actions:

  1. Apply to extend your work permit before its expiration.

Request a change in your permit’s conditions before it expires.

This program is no longer accepting applications from new candidates.

If you wish to seek permanent residence under the Live-in Caregiver Program (LCP), you need to fulfill the following conditions:

 

Accumulate a minimum of 2 years of work experience within the program, and

 

  1. Currently hold an LCP work permit while employed in Canada, or
  2. Have been granted your initial LCP work permit based on a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) submitted to Employment and Social Development Canada on or prior to November 30, 2014.
